Freemius processes certain Edumento purchases.

Refund conditions shown at checkout and configured for the purchased product form part of this Policy.

01

Scope of This Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to paid Edumento subscriptions, licenses, digital products and services purchased directly through an Edumento website or checkout operated by Freemius.

It should be read together with the Edumento Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, checkout information and any product-specific offer.

02

Payments Processed by Freemius

Certain purchases are sold and processed by Freemius, Inc. (“Freemius”), acting as Edumento's authorized reseller and Merchant of Record.

Freemius is responsible for processing payment, issuing transaction records or invoices, calculating and collecting applicable transaction taxes, managing payment authorization, handling chargebacks and administering approved refunds for transactions it processes.

A Freemius purchase is also subject to the Freemius Terms of Sale and Privacy Policy made available during checkout.

03

Prices, Currency and Taxes

The final checkout page displays the price, currency, billing period, applicable taxes and total amount before purchase.

VAT, sales tax or similar charges may be added or included depending on the purchaser's country, tax status and applicable law.

Where a customer is eligible for business tax treatment, valid tax information must be entered during checkout or submitted through the process provided by Freemius.

04

Automatic Subscription Renewals

Recurring subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.

By purchasing a recurring subscription, the purchaser authorizes Freemius and its payment providers to charge the selected payment method for the initial purchase and each renewal.

The renewal price may differ where a discount applies only to the initial billing period. The applicable renewal conditions are shown during checkout.

Edumento may change future subscription prices. Where required, reasonable advance notice will be provided before a changed price applies to a future renewal.

05

How to Cancel a Subscription

A recurring subscription may normally be cancelled through the Freemius customer portal or through another subscription-management method provided by Edumento.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless otherwise stated or required by law, the customer retains access to paid features until the end of the current paid billing period.

Cancellation and account deletion are different.

Cancelling a subscription does not automatically delete the Edumento account or the associated educational records.

Customers should cancel before the renewal date. Failure to use the service or forgetting to cancel does not automatically create a right to a refund, subject to mandatory consumer law.

06

Refund Eligibility

The refund period and type of refund policy applicable to a purchase are those displayed during checkout and configured for the relevant Edumento product in Freemius.

A refund may be considered when:

  • The request is submitted within the displayed refund period.
  • The purchased service was not delivered or activated.
  • A verified technical defect prevents material use and Edumento cannot resolve it within a reasonable time.
  • The customer was charged more than once for the same purchase.
  • The transaction was unauthorized and is reported promptly.
  • A refund is required by applicable consumer-protection law.
  • Edumento expressly approves the request as an exception.

Submitting a request does not guarantee approval. We may request account, invoice, transaction, technical or identity information reasonably necessary to investigate the request.

07

Cases That May Not Qualify

Subject to applicable law, a refund may be refused where:

  • The request is outside the displayed refund period.
  • The customer simply changed their mind after materially using the service.
  • The subscription renewed because it was not cancelled before renewal.
  • The issue results from an unsupported device, browser, operating system or third-party environment disclosed as unsupported.
  • The customer refuses reasonable troubleshooting or account verification.
  • The account was suspended for fraud, abuse or a serious breach of the Terms.
  • A digital service was fully supplied with the customer's legally valid prior consent where the right of withdrawal no longer applies.
  • The purchase was made through an app store whose refund process controls the transaction.
08

Technical Problems

Before requesting a refund for a technical problem, contact support@edumento.com and provide the account email, device, platform, description, screenshots and relevant error information.

Edumento may be given a reasonable opportunity to diagnose and fix the issue. Temporary interruption, planned maintenance or a problem caused entirely by a user's internet connection or unsupported equipment does not automatically qualify for a refund.

09

Duplicate and Unauthorized Payments

Suspected duplicate or unauthorized payments should be reported promptly. We may ask for the invoice number, transaction date, charged amount and limited payment-identification information.

Customers should contact Edumento or Freemius before filing a chargeback where possible. Filing an unjustified chargeback may result in temporary restriction of the associated paid entitlement while the dispute is investigated.

10

Refund Method and Processing

Approved Freemius refunds are normally administered by Freemius and returned to the original payment method.

Depending on the transaction and applicable rules, a refund may be full or partial and may include applicable tax adjustments.

Bank, card and payment-provider processing times are outside Edumento's direct control. Currency-conversion differences or bank fees may affect the amount visible in the customer's account.

11

Free Trials, Discounts and Promotions

A free trial may convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period if payment details were provided and the trial was not cancelled before conversion. The checkout will disclose applicable trial and conversion terms.

Promotional prices, coupons and introductory discounts apply only under the stated conditions and may not apply to renewal periods.

Expiration of an unused discount or failure to apply a coupon before checkout does not automatically qualify for a refund.

12

Schools, Academies and Organization Plans

Organization, school or academy purchases may be governed by a separate order form, proposal, invoice or written agreement. Where those documents contain different refund, cancellation or notice terms, the specific written agreement controls.

Setup work, customization, onboarding, training, content production or other separately commissioned services may be non-refundable once work has started, unless the written agreement states otherwise or applicable law requires a refund.

13

Apple App Store and Google Play Purchases

Purchases made through Apple, Google or another app marketplace are processed by that marketplace and are generally governed by its billing, cancellation and refund rules.

Edumento may be unable to directly issue a refund for an app-store transaction. The customer may need to submit the request through the relevant store account or support process.

14

Mandatory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Policy removes or limits a refund, cancellation, withdrawal, warranty or other consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

Where local law provides stronger rights than this Policy, the applicable mandatory law prevails.

15

Contact and Refund Requests

Send refund and billing requests with the account email, product, invoice or order reference, purchase date and reason for the request.
